A family comes out to learn defensive pistol concepts including cover and concealment, magazine changes and shooting with movement.

Most shooters train but they either don't get the opportunity shoot with movement or they don't implement the use of cover and concealment into their training. These are elements of real life situations when self-defense is the task at hand. We had a family class with the Pisczek family for defensive pistol training (with an element of rifle transition thrown in at the end just for fun).

Defensive pistol shooting is a class utilizing the "shoot and move" concept, use of cover, shoot from a draw and even "active shooter" concepts and drills. Students love the freedom to move around in real world training which is something that can't be done at most ranges. Remember, the good ole "Isosceles Shooting Position" may not be usable when having to engage a would-be attacker.
